Meet The Doctor
Dr. Michael Maruri (Dr. Mike) was raised in sunny South Florida. Upon graduating from South Miami Senior High, Dr. Mike attended University of Florida. At UF, he graduated Cum Laude and earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Engineering. Dr. Mike returned to his home in South Florida to attend Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with top honors earning him a coveted spot at the University of Colorado Orthodontic program.
Clear Braces
Clear braces are made of monocrystaline ceramics that are translucent and therefore minimize the visibility of the brackets on the teeth. Clear braces are a good choice for aesthetically concerned patients that wish to improve the appearance of their smile, yet want to minimize the appearance of braces. Many Hollywood actors like Tom Cruise have had ceramic braces.

With traditional braces you may be more susceptible to have discomfort, mouth sores, pain, tooth decay from poor brushing and flossing, difficulty eating or even injuries caused by the braces and wires. As if that weren’t bad enough, you also have to sacrifice eating your favorite foods like, nuts, popcorn, bagels, hard-crusted pizza, corn on the cob and certain candies.
